Bertha was one of three in her litter, along with her two sisters. They were rescued from outside at about 6 weeks old, and brought to my animal hospital. I was contacted by a gentleman who was interested in adopting a kitten, and he came shortly afterwards to meet the girls. He fell instantly head over heels in love with Bertha's sister Althea, and she was spoken for first...

Fast forward a day or two, and the weekend was approaching. The kittens were too young to go to forever homes just yet, and I felt terrible with them being at the hospital mostly alone all weekend. We asked Althea's adopter if he would be interested in taking the trio home for the weekend so that they could get playtime and attention. He happily took all of them home for the weekend, and his parents ended up falling in love with Althea's two siblings, Bertha and Cassidy! That weekend made it official that all three of these sweeties were going to get to grow up together!!!
