My rescue cat, Winter, went to a foster in February of 2020. Unfortunately, a few days later, she got out when a door was left open. I set multiple have-a-heart traps and pulled all-nighters for six days to catch her. On the sixth day, I caught her! In the midst of those six days, I caught some other fun fluffs in my have-a-heart traps! I caught a possum, and I caught TANK!

I let the possum go, of course! But Tank needed help. He was an un-neutered male tom cat, and that situation in itself needed to be handled! When Tank was caught in the have-a-heart trap, he was beyond aggressive. I can easily say that he was the MOST AGGRESSIVE cat that I've ever trapped. I knew this would be a trap, neuter, and release situation. I had him neutered, tested, vaccinated...the works. I kept him to heal from his surgery, and saw teeny tiny small glimmers of potential in him. I gave him a lot of time and a lot of patience while waiting out the cold winter months before intending to release him.

After three months of giving Tank his time and space, I decided to slowly start getting closer and closer to him.

A few months paid off in a way that I never really saw coming!!! Today, Tank is the biggest sweetheart who craves so much love and attention! He melts into a puddle of love when he's being pet and doted on. He loves his soft pink fleece blanket, and he loves it when I wrap his whole body in it like a burrito with his big head sticking out. He is SUCH a baby! I adore my big purring machine, and now that he's figured out how awesome life is inside, with love and affection from people, he's SO HAPPY!

While settling into life at the rescue, Tank became best friends with a mom cat named Bellini. She was a shy lady, still figuring out whether or not she wanted this life indoors. They immediately FELL IN LOVE! Tank brought out Bellini's sweet side, and she became very friendly over the course of the two years that I had both of them. They became so close to the point where I wouldn't even consider separating them when looking for a forever home!

After two years of waiting, Tank and Bellini found an amazing forever home with an awesome family, and even gained a cat sister! They're new cat sister was very shy, and I've been told since their adoption that now the other cat is coming out more to play with Tank! Post adoption photos show Bellini being social and friendly, and she looks so content and happy! Words can't describe how happy I am for these two! I think it's safe to say that their forever home was worth the wait!!!
