"C y p r e s s"

Miss Cypress is a little spitfire that I rescued along with her three, three week old kittens from underneath a shed in someone's backyard in White Plains, back in May of 2023. She had her kittens SO well hidden under this shed, at the far end of a super impressive zig-zag leaf tunnel. It took a while to hang scoop out of the leaves, but it was so worth it! I found her sweet little babies, and once they were safe, I quickly trapped Cypress. Her babies were in desperate need of some medical attention. Their eyes were so infected that they were sealed shut. After some baths and eye medication, they were as good as new!

Cypress's three babies were adopted as soon as they were of appropriate age, but Miss Cypress spent the next two years with us at the rescue. She had friends here and was always a good girl. She was always INCFREDIBLY food motivated, and filled with personality!

After two years of patiently waiting, it was Cypress' turn to get the attention! An adopter who had adopted one of Cypress' kittens two years earlier had expressed interest in possibly adopting Cypress so that mom and daughter could spend their lives together! She took Cypress that same day as a foster-to-adopt situation. A month later, it was made official that Cypress was staying, and getting to spend all of her days with her new mom and her daughter! I couldn't be happier for this sweet girl, who never got the chance to experience home life before this! So deserving, and what an awesome outcome!!!
