I got a phone call one fall morning when I was pumpkin picking up north. It was from a previous local adopter, who discovered a mom cat and three little kittens underneath her deck in her backyard! That afternoon, I went to pick up the little cuties, and boy they were adorable! Two brown boy tabbys and a black female, to be exact. She had put them safely in a box and I brought them home. They were only about 4-5 weeks old, but luckily they had been nursing on mom for that time. I bottle fed them for a few days before they got the hang of eating wet food on their own.

Squash was the spunky one of the group! He was fun and outgoing, and ALWAYS trying to climb his playpen to get out to be with me! He was a needy little boy, who adored any kind of attention. He was loving and super fun, and REALLY enjoyed his food! His short stubby tail gave him character, along with that big personality of his! He landed a great home with a local family with two sweet little girls. I still get to see him when he comes to the vet for check-ups, and he's doing fantastic in his forever home!

P.S: The lovely family that rescued these guys, also trapped the mom cat and had her spayed!
