Onyx's story is a sweet one! I saw a photo posted online about a cat in need not far from my area, and a storm was was rapidly approaching. This cutie had been crying at a women's back door, but bolted anytime she went to open it. They had seen him for a few weeks and had started feeding him, but he still wouldn't allow her to get anywhere close. I rushed over with my dad's crate trap just as the snow started to fall that night, and within 15 minutes, we got him! What a relief! This little nugget did turn out to be an unneutered male cat with no microchip. He was vetted, neutered, tested, dewormed, vaccinated, and given a lion haircut due to severe matting. He lost a quarter of a pound of hair! He was overall relatively healthy and only about 11-12 months old!!! He was shy and reserved at first, and showed zero ounce of aggression. It took him a few days to acclimate to my home, and then he soon fit right in! He loved my cats in my home and soon became a needy little man! He quickly discovered his love for toys and human attention, and wanted all the rubs and lovin' he could get!

Onyx's story caught the attention of an awesome couple who were previous adopters from just a few months prior. He was adopted and now has a kitty sister and happily lives in NYC! I get photo and video updates regularly and couldn't be happier for this sweetheart of a boy!
