"P i s t a c h i o"

Pistachio and her two sisters have quite the rescue story. A rescue friend and myself had spent weeks and weeks trying to catch this litter of babies. They were in such a difficult area, hiding in the tunnels of cracks in an almost vertical rock wall cliff with their mom. I bought a video scope and everything to try to see inside of the rock wall to spot the kittens. It was a daunting rescue, to say the least!

In the end, my friend rescued Miss Almond first. Two days later, she rescued her two sisters, Cashew & Pistachio. The three of them were beyond terrified, and super feral by the time she was able to rescue them. Countless weeks had gone by, and they became so fearful of people. At initial super quick glance, I tried getting a peek at their genders. It wasn't easy as they were almost impossible to handle. My quick look led me to believe there was one girl and two boys. Interestingly enough, weeks and weeks of socialization and time and patience later, I was able to tell that all three were actually females!!! That was a first for me!

After a solid two months of hard work on my parent's end, these beautiful girls were ready to find their forever homes. It turned out that Pistachio found her forever home with one of her sisters, Almond! They landed a super sweet family, and have the most beautiful view of the Hudson River in their new home! I've been told that they're doing so wonderful and are so loved!
