"W a l k e r"

Walker's story is a special one to both me and my family. I picked him up from the streets of the projects 3.5 years ago. He was freezing and starving, and he soon found comfort at my parent's  house. He had been microchipped, and the theory is that he probably was adopted as a kitten from a shelter, and was dumped as he grew. We tried contacting shelters and the microchip company.  By doing so, we discovered that the family that had adopted him went out of their way to remove their information from the system. He also found out his old name (which we definitely were not keeping), and his birthday!!! *He's a January baby :) Walker was super friendly and adoptable, but somehow always got looked over when adopters came to meet potentials. He was so gentle, that we nicknamed him the "southern gentleman." My parents fell in love. One huge problem...their cat Peanut HATED HIM! They had to be kept separate for three long years that Walker lived in the house. He had a great life with my parents, but it was never fully his own home.  Until one day, my mom and I continuously spreading the word about Walker paid off. A friend of a friend contacted us and had seen pictures, and insisted on meeting him! The two hit it off immediately, and that was the end of that! He was adopted shortly after, and I get updates on him constantly! He is happy as can be, and my family and I couldn't be happier for him!
